LYONS, Kan. — The Kansas Department of Transportation says a $2.9 million resurfacing of K-4 in Rice County is expected to begin soon.

The project will involve a milling and overlay on K-4 from the Barton/Rice county line to the Rice/Ellsworth county line. The length is 25 miles.

Work is scheduled to start around June 14 and be completed around mid-July. Traffic will be restricted to one lane and controlled by flaggers and a pilot car.

Motorists should be prepared to stop and face delays of up to 15 minutes.
