HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Hutchinson woman was hurt in a hit and run accident early Tuesday morning.
According to a release from Hutchinson police, at 2:48 a.m, Hutchinson Police and Fire and Reno County EMS were dispatched to the 800 block of West 5th Ave. for a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian and leaving the scene.
Officers arrived on scene and located the pedestrian, Tonya Ortega of Hutchinson, with multiple injuries. Ortega was transported to the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center by Reno County EMS for further treatment.
The crash is being investigated by the Hutchinson Police Department Traffic Unit and remains an open investigation.
