Circles of Hope Reno County announced that Jason Probst will lead the organization as Executive Director, starting May 1.

“Circles of Hope welcomes Jason Probst as our new Executive Director. We are confident he will lead our well-established community system of support for people who seek to move forward out of poverty in our community,” said Lynette Lacy, Circles of Hope Steering Committee Chair.

Circles of Hope Reno County helps individuals and families get up and out of poverty through training and the creation of an intentional relationship with community volunteers, known as Allies. Families create lasting change on the journey toward their future story and financial stability. Our Circle Leaders gain and practice agency in their lives, while Circles Allies work to help Circle Leaders navigate the transition out of poverty.

Current Executive Director Marla McKee will retire from the role in May. She has worked with the Circles of Hope Steering Committee to ensure a smooth transition to new leadership.

“At Circles, we believe people are more successful when surrounded by a circle of support, and promote progress, not perfection in the positive outcomes created in this environment. My experience at Circles has been one of constant learning and growth, working with individuals who have the desire and motivation to change their situations. Jason will be a perfect fit for this role, and I look forward to watching Circles grow under his leadership.”

Probst brings to Circles of Hope his years of experience in leadership and communications. He has long worked to elevate the voices of marginalized populations, and has a long record of advocating for struggling families in our community. His work as a member of the Kansas Legislature will continue.

“I’m excited to lead Circles of Hope Reno County into the future,” Probst said. “The Circles mission aligns squarely with one of my core values that everyone deserves a fair chance at life - regardless of their circumstances. Thanks to Marla’s leadership, the organization is poised for growth, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to continue to serve Hutchinson and Reno County in this new role."
