
GARDEN CITY, Kan. — Mya Williams scored 17 in the first quarter as Hutchinson (14-4, 8-4) jumped out to a 25-14 advantage Saturday afternoon.
Williams finished with a game-high 28 on 9 of 18 shooting, including 4 of 8 from beyond the arc.
Monae Duffy posted a double-double with a career-high 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Morgan Browning and Journey Armstead each added 10 points and five rebounds.
Four Dragon starters scored 68 of the 71 total points.
Three Broncbusters scored in double figures, led by Dayshawna Carter's 17.
Taya Davis posted a double-double with 15 points and 13 assists.
The Dragons shot 47.4% from three and held Garden City to 15.4%.
Hutchinson led by as many as 20 just before halftime.
The Broncbusters cut that lead to single digits in the fourth quarter before the Dragons pulled away for good.
