HUTCHINSON, Kan. — It isn’t much to cheer about, but gas prices in Hutchinson and the surrounding area have fallen below the $3 per gallon level this week.
According to GasBuddy, the lowest price for a gallon of regular gas is $2.96. The lowest price in the county is at the Gasboy store in Arlington at $2.79.
Prices for all Reno County communities were not available, so there may be lower prices in the county.
The drop still does not provide a lot of relief as the price is still well above pre-pandemic levels. The current average price for gas in Kansas is around $2.96 per gallon, while the national average is sitting at $3.28 per gallon.
