Myrle D. Hoffman, 74, of Hutchinson, died September 2, 2024, at his home. He was born in San Diego, CA on December 20, 1949, to Richard and Muriel “Bertie” (Eikleberry) Hoffman.
Myrle attended Buhler High School and joined the United States Marine Corps in 1969 and proudly served his country for many years. In his free time, Myrle enjoyed fishing and camping. He was an eager member of the UBU Sunflower Camping Club and Hutch Cosmos. He was a proud owner of Hoffman Construction and H & H Precast along with his brother Bill. Through-out life, Myrle had many animals that he cared for. He loved dogs, especially Cooper and Maggie, who will miss him greatly.
On December 4, 1971, he married Debra “Debbie” K. Taggart, in Hutchinson, KS. They shared 52 years together, before his death.
Myrle is survived by: wife, Debra “Debbie” Hoffman; daughters, Melissa Finch, Kelly Polson (Shane Mog), Staci Hoffman (Chris Ward); sisters, Jean (Allen) Wedel, and Jolyne Dix; brothers, Dan (Audrey) Hoffman, Bill (Chris) Hoffman, and Stan Hoffman; beloved grandchildren, Kelsie, Kaden, Maitlyn, Kullen, Kamellia and mother-in-law Dona Taggart.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Richard and Bertie Hoffman; daughter, Stacie Dellinger; and father-in-law, Bill Taggart.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2024, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary Chapel.
