
According to a Friday release from the McPherson County Sheriff's Office, an investigation was conducted by the McPherson County Sheriff’s Office and forwarded to the McPherson County Attorney’s Office for formal charging in the accident that claimed the life of Canton-Galva teacher Ashley Austin.
The driver of the Nissan SUV, who was identified as James Holzrichter, was charged with Involuntary Manslaughter, Aggravated Battery, Driving Under the Influence, Aggravated Child Endangerment, No Liability Insurance, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane.
Mr. Holzrichter has been taken into custody and booked into the McPherson County Jail.
