HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The arts and culture division of Hutch Rec has opened a new media arts space in Downtown Hutchinson. The Foxtrot Studio is located at 13 E. Sherman.
According to a release from Hutch Rec, Foxtrot is a place for storytellers of all kinds to learn about and produce their own media, a public resource media studio that creates access to equipment, technology and training. Foxtrot is a collaboration studio among Hutch Rec Arts & Culture Division, the Heartland Arts & Culture Collective, and the Kansas Department of Commerce Creative Arts Industries Commission.
Residents interested in what services the Foxtrot Studio provides are invited to a come-and-go Open House on Thursday, June 9, from 4-7 p.m. At that time, individuals may begin purchasing Foxtrot Studio memberships as well as book studio times and rent equipment. Additional information about the Foxtrot can be found at: https://www.hutchrec.com/foxtrot-studio, as well as the Heartland Arts & Culture Collective on Facebook.
A second Open House will take place on June 23 from 4-7 p.m. and the studio will also be open during Third Thursday, June 16, from 4-7 p.m. A ribbon cutting will take place during Third Thursday July 21.
