HUTCHINSON, Kan. — With the very hot weather, the Salvation Army in Hutchinson wanted to remind those in need that they still have fans available. The SA along with Westlake Ace Hardware stores have been handing out free fans during the summer.

The SA says they handed out 210 fans in June and another 57 so far this month. But some fans are still available. Westlake customers have also donated more than $1,700 during the drive. That cash helped purchase 137 fans for the Salvation Army.&nbsp;

Those who want a fan can stop by the Salvation Army at 700 N Walnut between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. No paperwork needs to be filled out, but if it is your first time getting assistance from the SA you’ll need proof of address.
