Michael Lynn Jennings, 66, died August 28, 2023, at Ascension Via Christi-St. Francis. He was born November 9, 1956, at the Hutchinson Naval Air Station, to James E. and Martha J. “Marty” (Hudson) Jennings.
Mike worked as a chef in numerous restaurants in Hutchinson, Wichita, and Ponca City, OK. He also owned and operated C&J Cycle in Hutchinson for many years. Fishing and cooking were Mike’s life, but he also enjoyed model trains and loved going on cruises.
Mike is survived by: his mother and stepfather, Marty and Ron Clark of Hutchinson; brother, Bill Jennings of Benton; stepbrother, Marc Clark (Debbie) of Farmington, NM; stepsister, Vicki Reddy (Jamey) of Aztec, NM; pet dog, Denny; pet turtle, Miss Piggy; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother, James D. Jennings.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Sylvia Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed and the link to view it will below will be available beginning at 9:45 a.m. the day of the service.

Friends may call from 1-8 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
