
Politicians are going to try to pass a scaled down farm bill that will include priorities that haven’t been updated since 2018.
The most expensive priorities were taken care of already in the Big Beautiful Bill, but there are other farm programs and priorities that need either funding, extended, or updating.

House Ag Chair Glenn Thompson of Pennsylvania is calling it “farm bill 2.0” and he expects the legislation to be largely based on what the House Ag Committee advanced last year.
