HUTCHINSON, Kan. — In celebration of the Kansas City Chiefs 2023 Super Bowl championship, the Kansas State Fair celebrated Kansas Lottery Chiefs Red Friday for Chiefs fans Sept. 15.

The Lombardi Trophy from the Chiefs win in Super Bowl LVII in February was displayed in the House of Capper for fans to take photos with. Fair General Manager Bryan Schulz estimated the crowd that took pictures with the trophy at around 2000.

Next to the Lair-Steckline Interactive Fountain, Chiefs mascot KC Wolf danced to the beat of the Chiefs Rumble drumline and took photos with families and children.

The drumline is made up of 28 drummers. Four of the Rumble's members played for fans throughout the fairgrounds on Friday.

The Kansas Lottery Chiefs Red Friday celebration closed with a free concert from Blane Howard at Peoples Bank and Trust Arena Friday night. Howard is a lifelong Chiefs fan and is well known for his two hype songs Run it Back and Take it Back that he wrote for the Chiefs during their playoff runs.

More information about Blane Howard is available at kansasstatefair.com and blanehoward.com.

The Chiefs take the field on the road Sunday at noon against the Jacksonville Jaguars. You can hear that game on KWBW 1450 AM/98.5 FM.
