Gene Annett, 96, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 at Pratt Health and Rehab. He was born on January 21, 1928 in Buttermilk, Oklahoma to Tony and Anna (Shaddy) Annett. Gene married Norma (Schoonover) Annett on December 6, 1952 in Pratt. They were married for 73 years.
Gene worked as a Painter and Paper Hanger for his entire working career. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He enjoyed attending family reunions, playing dominoes especially Moon, antiquing and coin collecting.
He is survived by his wife, Norma; daughters, Debra Annett of Pratt, Candace (Randy) Arnold of Pratt and Tamara Tawater of Pratt; sisters, Sally Holland of Florida and Ruth (Gene) Isbell of Wichita; granddaughter, Devan (Kyle) Spencer of Burrton; great-grandchildren, Kyzer, Kyce and Kya Spencer; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Virginia Bliss, Pauline Mills, Eva Guthrie, Frank Annett, Paul Annett and George Annett.
Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
The family would like to thank Pratt Health and Rehab and Interim Hospice for all the loving care they have given Gene in his last days.
