KANSAS CITY —One person died in an accident just before 9p.m. Monday in Kansas City.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2012 TaoTao 50 Moped driven by a 29-year-old Kansas City man was westbound on East Gregory Boulevard just west of Evanston Avenue in Raytown.
The vehicle crossed the center of the road and into the path of an eastbound 2013 Lexus RX450 driven by a 41-year-old Kansas City woman. The moped side-swiped the car.
EMS transported the moped driver to Research Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. He was wearing a helmet. The Patrol has not released the name of the victim.
