HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Holy Cross Catholic School and Trinity Catholic Jr./Sr. High School, along with Catholic schools throughout the Diocese of Wichita, will celebrate Catholic Schools Week Jan. 29 to Feb. 4.  This year’s theme is “Faith, Excellence, and Service.”

“Catholic Schools Week provides us an opportunity to focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church and our communities” said Amy Wagoner, Holy Cross Principal.  “During this week educators and students are also given the chance to pause and reflect on how being a part of a Catholic school community has impacted them.”

Throughout the week both Holy Cross and Trinity will both be hosting special events and prayer services in celebration.  Families and visitors or invited to come see firsthand the benefits of students learning, playing, praying and living out their faith and school.

Key events and activities include:

• Sunday, Jan. 29 – Kick-off Mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 9 a.m. and St. Teresa’s Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m.

• Tuesday, Jan. 31 – Holy Cross Spelling Bee at 10 a.m.
