HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Community Foundation announced Wednesday that, because of the increase in COVID-19 cases in the community, the “Community Conversation on Payday Loan Reform” scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Jan. 20 at Trinity United Methodist Church has been canceled.
The community conversation event was to be held to give concerned citizens an opportunity to learn more and give testimony to their experiences with predatory lending in the state of Kansas.
The community hosting group is looking at potential dates for rescheduling the meeting and will let the public know if and when that is decided.
