Kenneth "Bucket" Theis |1940-2023|

Kenneth "Bucket" Theis, 82, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at his home. He was born on October 14, 1940 in St. Leo to Frank and Rose (Schwartz) Theis. Kenneth married Bonnie (Schwertfeger) Theis on November 22, 1967. She preceded him in death on March 11, 1983. He then married Charlotte (Welch) Theis on March 3, 1984.  She preceded him in death on September 5, 2018.

Kenneth graduated from Nashville High School. He served in the United States Army. He worked as a Barber, Caterer and Postal Clerk. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, BPOE Elks, American Legion, VFW, Moose Lodge and Realtor Association. He enjoyed baseball, card tricks, jokes, singing with his brothers and spending time with people especially his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Jim (Amy) Theis of Hutchinson, Molly Morgan of Cunningham and Rusty (Lyndel) Theis of Pratt; siblings, Jody Meyer of Goddard, Sandy (Gene) Mertens of Garden Plain, Sam (Jeanne) Theis of Cunningham, Sally (Don) Fischer of Kingman and Phil (Gloria) Theis of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Jerod, Brooke, Travis, Kami and Jaycie Theis, Kendra, Kory and Kyra Morgan; and great-granddaughter, Ella Jean Morgan; step-children, Clay Truitt, Rodney (Karen) Truitt, Mitch (Kaydene) Truitt and Angela (Mike) Bradshaw; and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; wives, Bonnie Theis and Charlotte Theis; and siblings, Betty Tracy, Mary Lou Jarmer, Alice Mertens, Eileen Danahy, Dee Mills, Frank Theis, Ethel Orth and Karol Ricke.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. A vigil with rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pratt with Father Ted Skalsky presiding.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 24, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pratt with Father Charles Atuah presiding. Burial with military honors will follow at Turon Cemetery, Turon.
