
PRATT, Kan. — Freshman Kiki Smith scored a career-high 33 points in just three quarters of work to power No. 2 Hutchinson (22-0, 16-0) past Pratt (9-13, 4-13) in the Beaver Dome 92-62.
Smith outscored the nation's leading scorer, Princess Anderson (26.2 ppg), who finished with 30.
Anderson shot 9-of-24 from the field and 9-of-13 from the free-throw line.
Smith was an efficient 12-of-17, including 6-of-11 from deep.
Smith and Hailey Jackson led Hutchinson to a 60-34 halftime advantage, scoring 34 of Hutchinson's 60 at the break.
Anderson had 18 of Pratt's 34 going into the locker room.
No other Pratt player scored more than seven.
Meanwhile, Hutchinson had three players in double figures: Smith (33), Jackson (17) and Journey Armstead (10).
The Dragons shot 42.4% from the floor and held Pratt to 31.3%.
Hutchinson turned the ball over a season-low five times and forced Pratt into 15 turnovers.

Hutchinson is off to the fifth-best start in program history, tying the 22-0 start of the 2018-19 campaign.
The Dragons return home Saturday, Feb. 10, for Pink Out against Cloud County (8-8, 12-10) at 2 p.m.
