Karen Bernice Lackey, 71, of Hutchinson, passed away at Hospice House Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
She was born on April 30, 1954, in Marysville, KS. The daughter of William B. and Lois Christie Stowell. Karen attended Hutch High School.
She was married to Harlan Lackey and they later divorced.
She previously worked at Lowen Sign and was a home health aide.
She is survived by sisters Joyce (Don) Weinbrenner of Hillsboro, Loma (Lonnie) Seachris of Buhler, Helen (Dave) Ediger of Buhler, Wilma (John) Winn of Lebo, Debbie (Tony) Botkin of Lebo; brothers Robert Stowell of Chino Valley, Arizona, Rick (Angie) of Hutchinson.
She was preceded in death by brothers Lyle Stowell, Melvin Stowell, Bill Stowell, and sisters Nadine Frye, Irene Stowell, Judy Whittington, Kathy McIver, Carol Blevins, Ruth Hedger, Naomi Weiss.
Graveside service at Fairlawn Cemetery Friday, May 8, at 10:30 a.m.
