HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County Appraiser's Office wants to warn people about a scam - a company in Florida has been sending "Property Assessment Notices" to mailboxes in Reno County. 

Citizens should know that these are NOT legitimate and have no connection with Reno County. 

The Appraiser's Office recommends that people do not pay the $129.95 requested in the mailing. Just throw it away.
