HARVEY COUNTY - A Kansas man has been sentenced to prison for child sex crimes.
A District judge sentenced Billy Joe Smith, 57, Newton, to six years in prison, according to the Harvey County Attorney's office. In July he pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated indecent solicitation of a child.
Smith was also ordered to serve lifetime post release supervision and register as a sex offender.
