Plea deal for Kan. teacher accused of giving boy alcohol, THC products

SALINE COUNTY —A Salina South Middle School teacher accused of furnishing alcohol and THC products to underage students has entered a plea in the case.

On August 3, according to court documents, 48-year-old Amanda Freeman entered a guilty plea to Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a felony, and furnishing alcoholic beverages to underage students, a misdemeanor.

In September of 2025, a parent of a 16-year-old boy reported suspicious text messaging between the teen and Freeman, according to Salina Police.  Freeman is scheduled for sentencing on October 6.
