Barbara Beryl (Stewart) Hamilton, the third child and daughter of Clifford “Bill” and Helen (Barnett) Stewart was born on February 17, 1938 in Halstead.
Barbara attended Haven Grade School and High School where she was a twirler in the band and a member of the choir.
She met the love of her life, Merle Hamilton, at Haven Baptist Church and was married June 1, 1956.
Barbara was a member of the Haven Baptist Church. She loved Jesus and served as a Sunday school teacher, social chair lady, and Awana volunteer. Barbara sang in the choir and in a ladies trio.
She loved her family and spending time watching her children, grandchildren, brothers, nieces, nephews compete in sports and participate in other activities. She was a cook at Haven Grade School for 27 years. Barbara was an avid reader.
Barbara was preceded in death by her mother and father; her brothers, Daryl, Buck, Ted; and sister, Darlene. Barbara is survived by her husband, Merle; brother, Larry; sons, Stuart (Cheryl) of Topeka, and Scott (Kathy) of Turon; daughter, Dana (Brian) Blew of Lansing; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Haven Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Laurel Cemetery.
