Linda J. White, 73, of Hutchinson, died July 11, 2024, at her home. She was born March 16, 1951, in Great Bend, to Herman B. and Dortha M. (Donner) McDowell.
Linda graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1969. She worked at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for over thirty years before she retired. During her free time, she enjoyed creating diamond art, playing cards, such as Rummy, embroidering, and coloring.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
On May 14, 1986, she married Wayne J. “Whiskers” White. They shared over 17 years of marriage before his death on February 8, 2004.
Linda is survived by her: son, Robert Dwerlkotte Jr., Larned; daughter, Amanda (Jonathan) Townley, Kingman; siblings, Bonnie Wallace and Harlan McDowell, Hutchinson; and numerous step-children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Jeanette Dwerlkotte; siblings, Dee Freer, Nancy Foster, Sue McCulland, and Kathy Valleau; and grandson, Brian Townley.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor William Green officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2024, until service time.
