
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Among those that graduated at the commencement ceremonies at Hutchinson Community College May 6 were 36 area high school students that earned Technical Certificates of Completion or Associate of Applied Science Degrees from the Career and Technical Education Academy.
Both post-secondary students enrolled through HutchCC as well as high school seniors from Hutchinson, Buhler, Fairfield, Inman, Little River, Nickerson, Sterling and Trinity Catholic were recognized as completing training in Career and Technical Education programs. These programs are offered at the Hutchinson Career and Technical Education Academy (HCTEA) in partnership with HutchCC and USD 308.
The construction, manufacturing, and transportation industries all benefit as students earn certificates in Automotive Collision and Refinishing Repair, Automotive Technology, Construction Technology, Machine Technology and Welding.
