RILEY COUNTY – Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting adjacent to the Aggieville Business District that sent a woman to the hospital.
Just before 2a.m. Sunday, police heard and responded to multiple gunshots in the 1100 block of Laramie Street, according to a media release from the Riley County Police Department.
Officers arrived on scene immediately and found a 35-year-old woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the back. EMS transported her to Via Christi for treatment of her injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
No arrests have been made at this time.
