WICHITA, Kan. — The National Weather Service office in Wichita, KS has released the schedule for the annual Storm Fury on the Plains presentations if you haven't already seen it on social media.
They are starting about a week earlier than usual with the presentations focused in February and March.
The Reno County presentation is Thursday, Feb. 8 at the Fire Command and Training Center at 3201 E. 4th Ave in Hutchinson.
The Harvey County presentation is Thursday, Feb. 22 at the Newton USD 373 Administrative Building.
The McPherson County presentation is Thursday, March 21 at the McPherson Community Building at 122 E Marlin.
The Kingman County presentation is Thursday, March 28 at the Kingman Activity Center North Room.
Meteorologists from the National Weather Service office in Wichita will be presenting information that will help prepare storm spotters and weather enthusiasts for the upcoming storm season. National Weather Service staff will provide an in depth weather presentation that will engage the audience by teaching them about the different types of storms, the individual storm features that help a person to recognize the storms potential severity, how to report hazardous weather and severe weather safety.
