Salvation Army receives Dillons gift cards from Project Concern

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Maj. Paul James with The Salvation Army was happy to receive 640 $25 Dillons gift cards from BW Radio's Project Concern. The cards will be distributed today from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. at The Salvation Army headquarters at 700 N. Walnut.

All $16,000 worth of gift cards were donated to The Salvation Army as part of this year's generosity of BW listeners.

A total of 625 households signed up for assistance through Project Concern, including 250 families with children, another 300 families without children plus 75 individuals. 

This year, Project Concern raised nearly $18,000. The funds also provide assistance to Friendship Meals and the Christian Soup Ministry during the Thanksgiving holiday.
