HUTCHINSON, Kan. — As is customary in March, the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce breakfast will have a basketball feel to it.
The March breakfast is sponsored by the NJCAA and will be held at Stringer Fine Arts Center, 600 E. 11th, starting at 8 a.m. Members will have the chance to hear from Spencer Haywood, 2015 inductee to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The youngest member of the 1968 gold-medal winning United States Olympic team, and its leading scorer, Haywood's journey in basketball was brilliant, though hardly conventional.
Join the Chamber to learn more about his story and help celebrate 75 years of the NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship. The cost for members is $15 — advance registration is required for all attendees, including Flash Pass holders.
