
Lemuel Calvin Thompson, 59, passed away February 7, 2025, at his home in Wichita. He was born February 28, 1965, in Hutchinson to Johnny Carr and Stanley Thompson Murdock.
He graduated from Lawrence Gardner High School in Topeka. Lemuel was a kind and private man who was loved by all who met him. He would keep you laughing with all of his funny sayings. His struggle is now over. He will be missed by many people especially his family. Lemuel enjoyed playing the piano, singing and playing with his nieces and nephews. He attended True Word Church.
Lemuel is survived by his: mother, Stanley Murdock; brothers, Gregory, Atrell “Tuck”, Samuel and Dustin Thompson, John Metcalfe, and Terry Brown; sisters, Jackie Carr Benjamin and Velva Hayes; 57 nieces and nephews; numerous cousins and friends; and special friends, Pat and Heather.
He was preceded in death by his; father, Johnny Carr; grandparents, Robert and Betty Thompson; and special aunt, Cookie Thompson.
A Memorial Service will be 1 pm Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Ron Deviney officiating. A meal will follow the service at the Christian Soup Kitchen, 301 E. 3rd, Hutchinson, KS. Friends may sign his book from 9 am – 5 pm until the day of the service at Elliott Mortuary.
