HESSTON, Kan. — The Hesston Swathers boys golf team made a statement on it's home course on Tuesday, winning the 3A regional title by 18 strokes over Wichita Collegiate at the Hesston Golf Course.

The Swathers were led by Camden Waterson, who finished 2-over par for a 73 in the 18-hole regional. Palmer Welsh wasn't far behind, carding a 4-over total of 75.

The Hesston Golf Course was a busy place on Tuesday, as the course also hosted the class 4A regional hosted by Buhler. The 3A event was scheduled to be played on Monday, but pushed back a day because of the rain in the area on Sunday.
