HUTCHINSON, Kan. — There are three things to love about the Kansas State Fair: food, food, and — well — food.
Tuesday is your chance to sample some of the best fair food around with the annual Tasty Tuesday promotion. Many of the food vendors will be offering smaller portions of their best delights for just $2. A list of participating food vendors is available at the gate when you enter. Participants can find new favorites or go back to resample ones they enjoy.
It is a light day for the youth livestock as the only show is the Boer goat showing at 9:30 a.m. at the Sheep, Swine and Goat building. It’s also day two of the high school marching band competition and the miniature horse show at 9 a.m. at the Expo Center.
To counter too much fair food, the Invent A Heart Healthy Food contest gets underway at noon at the Domestic Arts building.
After a day of fun with the demolition derby, the Nex-Tech Wireless Grandstand entertainment gets back to music with a concert from Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry starting at 7:30 p.m.
