
HAVEN, Kan. — The Haven School Board will meet in a special session to take action on their new superintendent Monday evening.
The district announced Friday that they have offered the job to Craig Idacavage. Idacavage is currently a principal in his sixth year in Leavenworth.
Idacavage, a native of Caldwell, Kansas, emerged from four finalists interviewed. The board went through the formal interview with Idacavage last Thursday then stayed in session after the interview and decided he was their choice.
Idacavage was the 2020 Kansas Elementary Principal of the Year from the Kansas Principals Association. Before going to Leavenworth, Idacavage served as a principal and activities director in the Renwick and North Lyon County districts.
Tonight's meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Haven School District offices.
