Ruby Elizabeth Stucky Goering, 91, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025, at Pleasant View Home, Inman. She was born on January 21, 1934, in McPherson, the daughter of David R. and Elizabeth Krehbiel Stucky. After graduating from high school, she married Robert M. Goering on August 5, 1952. He passed away on December 8, 2003.
Ruby helped her husband farm for several years. She would bring meals to the field, run parts, and do dr. runs. She also worked at the McPherson Sale Barn, McPherson, Klassen Grocery Store, Buhler, and then worked in the kitchen at Pleasant View Home for 30 years. During all of this, she also found time to do lots of babysitting.
She was a member of Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church, Inman. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and did a lot of journaling. She also enjoyed watching birds.
Survivors include her two sons, Michael R. (Jana) Goering, McPherson and Greg R. (Pam) Goering, Inman; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, a daughter, Sharon K. Mulch; a son, Steven R. Goering; great-grandson, Ryker Scott Goering; and siblings, Martin and Marvin Stucky, and Ellen (Stucky) Voth.
Per Ruby’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held from 5:30 -7:30 PM Friday, April 25, 2025 at Inman Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church.
