
NICKERSON, Kan. — The Nickerson City Council will meet in regular session on Monday evening.
The council will go over a resolution for the Nickerson Chamber of Commerce to temporarily exempt a portion of Main Street from possession of alcohol. The waiver will allow for alcohol beverages at the fireworks donation dance set for June 11. The dance area will be on Main between K-96 and B Avenue.
Also Monday, the city council will take action to establish fees for new water service installation and look over the one cent sales tax revenue, which is up from the previous month to just under $9,200.
Finally, the council will go over the usual reports and discuss city revenue. Monday’s Nickerson City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the city offices at 15 N. Nickerson.
