HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Parent Company of Plains State Bank in Hutchinson is expanding. Plains Bancshares, Inc, announced Thursday that they have purchased the BancCentral branches in both Anthony and Harper.
The acquisitions are a continuation of the western Kansas financial company which purchased the Salina branch of Bank IV in 2018, and recently opened branches in Hutchinson and Great Bend.
The transaction has been approved by each company’s board of directors and is expected to close in this fall. The transaction will expand Plains State Bank assets to approximately $398 million in total bank assets.
