HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Monarchs had to wait a day to kick off the season, but it was worth the wait.
The Monarchs exploded for six runs in the 8th inning to pull away from El Dorado in a 10-2 win. The Monarchs are 7-6 on opening day.
Hutchinson and the Broncos play again tonight at 7 p.m. at Hobart-Detter Field.
