JOHNSON COUNTY —Officers stoppped a driver for traveling&nbsp;108mph in a 65mph zone, according to a social media report from Leawood Police. The fine is $520 .00.

So far in 2026, on Interstate 435, just from Mission Road to State Line Road (only about a mile), there have been 66 reported crashes - many due to excessive speeds. 

"Please slow down and drive at a speed that gives you and everyone around you a chance to get home safely."
