HARVEY COUNTY — According to the Hesston Police Department, at approximately 06:10 a.m. Wednesday they received a call of shots fired in the area of exit 40 on Lincoln Blvd, just off of I-135.

Police made contact with the victim and learned that a road rage incident on northbound I-135 ended with another driver pulling a gun and then discharging that firearm. Police believe that the round discharged went into the berm of the interchange. Using the department's Flock Camera in the area they were able to develop a suspect and witnesses. One of the witnesses had video footage of part of the incident.

With all of that information, police secured a search warrant and with the help of Moundridge Police Department arrested the suspect on Aggravated Assault and Criminal Discharge of a Firearm and collected evidence.
