Jeff is survived by his son Jay (Kim) Kutilek; siblings Jill Goseland, Jan (Dick) Watson and Joe (Dana) Kutilek; nephews Tony (Borey) Baldassarre, Andy (Marie) Baldassarre, Jesse Kutilek and Justin Kutilek.
Jeff was born at Wesley Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. He attended Pleasant Valley Schools in north Wichita, and graduated from North High School in 1971. He was with the Wichita Fire Department in the '70's. He then left the Fire Department to form Jeff Kutilek Construction Company building over 300 high quality homes in the Wichita area during the 80;s and early 90's. Jeff and his son Jay moved to Rogers, Arkansas where he continued to build many quality homes off Beaver Lake.
While in Rogers, Arkansas, Jeff remarried and settled in with his son Jay. A few years later Jeff started to have health issues which led him to decide to move back to Wichita in 2003. After regaining his health, Jeff worked alongside his brother Joe in the home improvement business forming Peoples Consruction. During this time, he continued to build his own home, and a home for one of his good friends.
Beginning in 2005, Jeff started having major health issues including ARDS, which left him in a coma in intensive care for over 45 days. After recovering from his hospital stay, he went back to work but his medical issues continued. Jeff had a major stroke in 2010 that caused mobility issues. In 2021 he underwent open heart surgery which included a triple bypass and aorta replacement. After that, he had knee surgery, which he said his knee was never right, resulting in another injury to his hip, resulting in him being unable to walk. He was undergoing therapy, and was excited about walking again soon. During all of this Jeff always kept a positive attitude and kept working on getting better before he passed.
His favorite pastimes were boating, watching NHRA Drag Racing, NASCAR, as well as following the Chiefs and the Royals. His friends, family and colleagues will always remember him as the jokester he was, and the many pranks he was part of.
He will be greatly missed.
Private Family Services will be held.
