Jeri Samuelson, 84, died August 10, 2025, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson. She was born on January 19, 1941, in Gentry, OK, to Clarence and Susie Cherokee-Bill Beck VanSandt.
Jeri was a graduate of Derby High School. She was a radiology technician at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis. Jeri enjoyed being with her dogs, going antiquing and tending to her plants and small garden. She was always able to find the best bargains at Goodwill. Jeri cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Central Assembly of God, Wichita.
Jeri is survived by: children, Kevin (Bonnie) Samuelson of Hutchinson, Dean (Mary) Ecklund of Haven, Britt (DJ) Samuelson of Valley Center; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Glenn VanSandt, Carolyn McFadden, both of Siloam Springs, AR, and Erma Hambley of Washington
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Glenn Paul Samuelson; sons, Grant Paul, Rocky Dwayne and granddaughter, Skye Kline.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 140 E. 30th, Hutchinson. Private inurnment will take place at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. Friends may sign the book, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, at Elliott Mortuary. Cremations has taken place.
