HAVEN, Kan. — Haven USD 312 teachers have a new contract to vote on for the 2021-22 school year.
The district and the teachers union approved the contract following a negotiation session Tuesday afternoon.
Under the proposed agreement, teachers will see a 2.75% increase in pay. That will raise the starting base pay to $40,473 per year. The union was asking for a 3% increase while the board had countered with 2.5%.
The teachers will vote on the proposal in the near future and the board will take their final action during their next agenda session August 9.
