Michael Dexter Galloway, born March 17, 1955, died suddenly December 29, 2022, at the age of 67.
Mike was the firstborn to E. Dexter Galloway and Patricia Joan Griffin. He was preceded in death by both parents and a sister, Bonnie Galloway.
Survivors include: his constant companion and loving wife, Florence Marie Galloway; brother, Jim Galloway; sister, Jan Galloway McEndree; and numerous adopted children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Mike served in the United States Navy. After graduating from Hutchinson Community College, learning everything he could about robotics, Mike ultimately taught the class. His passions included MUSIC, magic, fishing, observing wildlife from his man cave, plants, dogs, puzzles, and witty jokes – and he was great at them all. For the past three years, Mike gave back to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, specifically the Mid-America Chapter, serving as secretary. Needless to say, he lived life to the fullest.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Mike’s 68th birthday weekend, March 17-19, in Hutchinson. The exact date and time will be announced later.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America, Mid-America Chapter, 6108 NW 63rd St. Warr Acres, OK 73122, or in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
