HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Chris Schul with Reno County Crime Stoppers wants to be sure the community knows that if they see something, they can say something and not have to give their name.
"We have a P3 app that you can put on your phone," Schul said. "Download it for free, Android or IPhone. You just put United States, you put Kansas. Then, if there's something that you know or something that you've seen, or something that you know is getting ready to happen, you can pass that along and you're a number. We don't even know who you are."
You can also call if you don't have the app to 1-800-222-TIPS.
"We're part of a national organization," Schul said. "They have made 775,000 arrests. We've helped solve 20,298 murders throughout the whole nation."
Crime Stoppers has made a big impact locally, as well.
"We approved $1200 in rewards, but so far $150 have been claimed," Schul said. "We recovered $2500 of property. We seized $4425 of drugs. Altogether, that is $6925 just last year."
