
Robert Earl Stapleton, 85 of Hutchinson, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, at Pleasant View Home in Inman.
Robert was born August 16,1940, in Hoxie, the son of Reuben and Alice Stapleton. Robert proudly served in the military and was a supervisor at R.L. Polk where he retired about 20 years ago. He loved playing golf, spending time with family, woodworking and listening to music. His favorite songs were Vern Gosdin "If Jesus Comes Tomorrow” and Alan Jackson's "The Old Rugged Cross”. His children would describe him as the best man they ever knew.
He is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Margaret Ann (Simmons) Stapleton; his parents, his six brothers; three sisters, and daughter, Crystal Pederson.
He is survived by his daughter, Tina Marie Stapleton of Hutchinson; son, Charles Albert Stapleton and wife Debra of Madison, MS; daughter, Jennie Laurene Bemis of Hutchinson and his precious grandchildren, Angel Brawner, Anthony Stapleton, Christina Martin, Matthew Cole, Charles Stapleton Jr., Emily Meredith, Spencer Stapleton, David Stapleton, Amanda Crothers, Devin Bemis, Abrianna Bemis, Danielle Grado and numerous great grandchildren and family members that loved him.
A private memorial service will be held at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502.
