HUTCHINSON, Kan. — As part of the Reno County Conservation District's presentation at Wednesday's Board of County Commissioners meeting, Chloe Gehring, project manager for the Cheney Lake Watershed let the commission know of an event this week in the county.
"Conservation has definitely changed over the years," Gehring said. "This Friday, the Cheney Lake Watershed is hosting a field event. It's going to be around Pleasantview, so not so far out into the county. We're going to be looking at an innovative alternate watering system, grazing some strips of cover crops. It allows for better grazing distribution. We'll be out there from 8 a.m. to probably 10 a.m. We'd be happy to have anybody that comes out."
The event is on the property of Marlin Miller at 7305 W Morgan Ave.
