WASHINGTON, D.C. - First District Congressman Tracy Mann released the following statement in response to the U.S. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) report for the year's second quarter.
"Economists may disagree on whether to coin this as a recession, but the facts are clear. America is experiencing back-to-back quarters of negative economic growth, and we’re in the middle of the highest level of inflation in over 40 years," Mann said. "To get the economy back on track we need to put an end to reckless federal spending, unleash American energy production, and remove onerous government regulations that are hamstringing small businesses."
Mann currently serves on the House Agriculture Committee and the House Veterans Affairs Committee.
