HUTCHINSON, Kan. — HutchCC President Carter File will be honored at a retirement reception by the school's Board of Trustees and administration on Tuesday, April 2.
The reception is from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with remarks at 4:30 p.m. in the Gallery Theatre of the Stringer Fine Arts Center.
File submitted his request to the college board of trustees in November indicating his intent to retire effective August 31, 2024.
File is the college's seventh president. He started at HutchCC in 2005 as the Vice President of Finance and Operations. He was elevated to the presidency in July 2014. His retirement will end his more than 24-year career in higher education.
