
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Sales tax revenue was again higher for the month of March than the previous year in Reno County.
According to numbers released by the treasurer's office, the total sales tax revenue for the county in March was $421,560. That compares with $346,757 in 2020.
It is about $78,000 less than the Christmas-driven month of February, which saw revenue of nearly $500,000.
Sales tax numbers for March reflect shopping numbers for the month of January. For the first quarter of 2021 the county has taken in $1,290,707 in sales tax revenue.
