Donald Eugene Bruner, 57, of Salina, and formerly of McPherson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, surrounded by family at the Holiday Resort Health & Rehab, Salina. Don had worked as a warehouse supervisor at Tony's Pizza and was also a Transportation Supervisor at Schwan's Home Delivery.
Don was born on May 9, 1965, in Columbia, MO, the son of Ralph Eugene and Donna Sue (Byrd) Bruner. He graduated from McPherson High School in 1983 and from Bethany College, Lindsborg in 1987.
Survivors include: his daughter, Nicole Morgan of Brownwood, TX; brothers, Kevin Bruner (Trish) of McPherson, and Clinton Bruner (Dara) of Wichita; sister-in-law, Kim Bruner of McPherson; aunt, Mae Bruner of Fulton, MO; uncle, James Byrd of McPherson; “little brother”, Paul Bruner (Natasha) of Fulton, MO; special friend, Kayla Thompson-Moore of Salina; dear friends, Bill Ottens of Denver, CO and Andrea Guliford of Salina; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Donna Bruner, and brother, Calvin Bruner.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM, Friday, September 30, 2022, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, all at the First Christian Church, 101 South Walnut St., McPherson, 67460. A private graveside service will take place at McPherson Cemetery at a later date.
